A head-on collision in Grand Junction on Friday morning has killed one woman and injured another.
Around 10 a.m., the accident happened where a Jeep Grand Cherokee heading northbound on 281/4 Road collided with a Ford Probe headed east on Patterson Road, according to Grand Junction police.
The Jeep's driver, 27-year-old Stanna Lindholm of Grand Junction, was killed in the accident.
The Ford's driver, 39-year-old Christy Buescher of Grand Junction, was flown to St. Mary's Hospital.
Police are speculating that the cause of the accident was that one of the women ran a red light. The investigation is still being conducted.
