Head On Auto Collision Kills One, Injures Another

October 18, 2005

A head-on collision in Grand Junction on Friday morning has killed one woman and injured another.

Around 10 a.m., the accident happened where a Jeep Grand Cherokee heading northbound on 281/4 Road collided with a Ford Probe headed east on Patterson Road, according to Grand Junction police.

The Jeep's driver, 27-year-old Stanna Lindholm of Grand Junction, was killed in the accident.

The Ford's driver, 39-year-old Christy Buescher of Grand Junction, was flown to St. Mary's Hospital.

Police are speculating that the cause of the accident was that one of the women ran a red light. The investigation is still being conducted.
