In Weld County, a teenager led state troopers on a wild chase, allegedly running stop signs, ramming a patrol car and finally crashing into a fence after police deflated the tires on his truck. The driver was treated for minor injuries. The chase and collision happened on Colorado 34 after a state trooper tried to pull over a 16-year-old driver in a Dodge pickup truck about 1 a.m.
The state patrol said the driver, who is not being identified, refused to yield and took off. The driver allegedly ran a number of stop signs and rammed the trooper's car. He was stopped only after police lay down 'stop sticks' that blew out his tires. He crashed into a fence after trying to ride on the deflated tires, authorities said.
