Child Ejected In Bus Accident

A child was ejected from a pickup truck after the driver allegedly ran a red light and smashed into a Regional Transportation District bus Monday morning, police said.

The accident occurred just after 7 a.m. at 10th and Knox in Denver.

The extent of the child's injuries and the age and gender of the child are unknown. The child is being treated at Children's Hospital. No one on the bus was injured.

According to witnesses, the bus was northbound on Knox when the black pickup truck traveling on 10th crossed the intersection against a red light and slammed into the bus.

The driver, who is not believed to be the boy's father, may face charges, police said.
